Agreement on U.J.A. and Israeli Bond Drive Reported in Jerusalem

Full agreement with regard to coordination of the campaigns conducted in the United States by the United Jewish Appeal and the Israeli Bond drive was reported here today following a series of meetings between top officials of the Israel Government and the leading executives of both campaigns. The details of the agreement were not made public.

Participating in the talks here were: Premier David Ben Gurion, Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett, Finance Minister Eliezer Kaplan, Minister of Social Welfare Golda Meyerson and Abba Eban, Israel’s Ambassador to the United States. The United Jewish Appeal was represented by the Dr. Joseph J. Schwartz and Henry Bernstein, while Henry Montor represented the Israeli Bond drive.
