Sen. Blair Moody of Michigan tonight called for United States action to strengthen democratic nations and institutions in the Middle East, but cautioned that the action must be taken “carefully” lest the Communists interpret it as “hostile” to them and take countermeasures against “our work” in the Middle East, Sen. Moody made his suggestion in an address here opening the local Israel Histadrut Campaign which seeks to raise $300,000.
