President Juan Peron received a delegation of the DAIA, central Jewish representative body in Argentina, and promised to legalize the status of Jewish immigrants who entered the country illegally.

The DAIA today issued a statement expressing horror and indignation over the hanging of two Iraqi Jewish youths in Baghdad last week. The statement charged that since 1948 Iraq has flouted the doctrines of the United Nations by pogroms and discriminatory acts.
