A protest by the DAIA, central representative body of Argentine Jewry, has brought about the banning of broadcasts in northern Argentina by Vlas Stefanitch, a Croat clergyman, who has been attacking Jews under the guise of fighting Communism.
The DAIA protested to the govenor of Salta province and to the provincial police chief as well as to the manager of the local government radio station who previously gave the clergyman time for his addresses. In this form and in letters to the local newspapers the Jewish community has managed to inform the local population of the real purposes of the Croat clergyman’s campaign.
