“father” of Genocide Convention Nominated for Nobel Prize

Dr. Raphael Lemkin, Yale University Professor and the “father” of the international Convention Against Genocide, is one of the six Americans nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, it was announced here this weekend. Prof. Lemkin, who invented the term genocide, was instrumental in the drafting of the convention and in its international adoption.
