Dr. Klapper, President Emeritus of Queens College, Dies; Aged 66

Dr. Paul Klapper, president emeritus of Queens College, New York, and teacher and administrator in New York City colleges for more than 40 years, died here yesterday. He was 66 years old.

Born in Rumania, he was brought by his Jewish parents to this country at the age of seven. He attended public schools in the Jewish section of New York’s Lower East Side and was graduated from City College in 1904. He was the author of many books on education and was a member of the New York State Commission Against Discrimination.
