A three-point plan to attract Jewish youths to Israel from foreign countries was outlined here today to the Jewish Agency Executive by E. Dobkin, head of the Agency’s department for youth and pioneer settlement.
The plan would establish one year of service in Israel for youths aged 21 or more who are not affiliated with pioneer training organizations; pioneer training in Israel for youths from abroad wishing to settle on the land, and establishment of summer camps here for youths from abroad aged 16-17.
Four thousand one hundred and six immigrants entered Israel during March according to a provisional report today by the Jewish Agency. Of this total, 1,972 came from Rumania; 1,287 from Iran; 577 from North Africa and 49 from Bulgaria.
