Brazil Becomes 36th Country to Ratify Genocide Convention

Brazil today became the 36th state to ratify or accede to the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide. The convention came into force on January 12, 1951 when 20 states deposited instruments of accession or ratification.
