Bruno Binetter, Israeli Representative, Dies in New York

Bruno B. Binetter, secretary of the Israel Advertising Association who came to the United States as head of the American office of “Conquest of the Desert” -the international exhibition which will take place in Israel next year – died in Mount Sinai Hospital here following a heart attack. He was 40 years old.

Born in Hungary, he interrupted his education in Germany in economics and engineering in 1933, when Hitler rose to power. Mr. Binetter fled to Palestine, where he first was employed as an agricultural day laborer and newsboy. In one year, he progressed through periodical distributor and advertising space seller to found one of the first advertising firms in Tel Aviv in 1934.
