Gershon Avner, Director of the West European Department of the Israeli Foreign Ministry, was appointed Israeli Charge D’Affaires for Hungary and Bulgaria, replacing Samuel Benzur, it was announced here today.
Mr. Benzur has returned to Israel to take up the post of Deputy Director of the Eastern European Department of the Foreign Ministry. This change is according to a general plan of reorganization within the Israeli Foreign Ministry.
