The Central Council of Jews in Germany and the newly-established Working Committee of Jewish Merchants and Industrialists in Germany have sent memoranda to the Bonn Parliament and to the various German provincial governments protesting against the taxation of Jewish property recently returned from Nazi confiscation, for the rehabilitation of the Germans.

The memoranda said that the taxation of victims of the Nazis who were only recently indemnified for economic losses suffered during the Hitler regime was unjust.
