Representatives of the Jewish Cultural Association in Warsaw and delegates from nearby Jewish communities in Poland attended a memorial service in Tarnow honoring the memory of that city’s Jews who were massacred by the Nazis during World War II. The service was held in the local synagogue and floral wreaths were laid at the mass graves of the martyrs in an adjoining forest.
