Merwin K. Hart, head of the National Economic Council, today condemned the proposed American endorsement of the United Nations Genocide pact in a statement made before the foreign relations sub-committee of the National Convention of the Republican Party. He also criticized American support of Israel. The United States, he indicated, aided the wrong side in the Palestine dispute.
Clark Eichelberger, executive director of the American Association for the United Nations, told the sub-committee he supported the proposed Israel plank put forward yesterday by Rep. Jacob Javits and endorsed by the American Zionist Council.
