The Victory Lodge of B’nai B’rith today announced that the eighth annual George Gershwin Memorial Contest for young American composers will close August 31. The contest, which carries a $1,000 first prize, is sponsored by the lodge in cooperation with the B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundations.
