U.S. Official Arrives in Israel with Agreement for $72,000,000 Grant

R. Freier, new assistant to American technical aid coordinator Bruce McDaniel, arrived here today from the United States with the draft of an agreement covering the $72,000,000 grant recently allocated to Israel by Congress. Mr. Freier will confer with American Ambassador Monnet B. Davis and Premier David Ben Gurion on the new grant.

Lord Glenconner, president of the Palestine Potash Company, arrived here today to sign an agreement converting his company into a corporation in which the Israel Government will own a controlling interest. Upon his arrival, Lord Glenconner told newsmen that the agreement between the company and the Israel Government is almost completed, with only minor matters to be settle, and these he expected to be cleared up within a few days.
