A number of questions pertaining to Israel and the Palestine question are reviewed in the annual message of United Nations Secretary General Trygve Lie which was made public here tonight.
In his review of the year, Mr. Lie discusses Israel’s complaint to the U.N. Security Council against the Suez Canal blockade by Egypt and the Council’s resolution–still not honored by Egypt–calling for an end to the Eigyptian blockade. The report also records the meetings of the Palestine Conciliation Commission in New York and the activities of the U.N. Relief and Works Agency for the Palestine Arab refugees.
