Mrs. Vera Bramson Dead; Helped to Establish World Ort Union

Mrs. Vera Bramson, widow of Dr. Leon Bramson, who was a member of the first Russian Duma and founder of the World ORT Union for vocational training and economic reconstruction of Jews, died here. Together with her husband she fled the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917 to western Europe, where Dr. Bramson became one of the organizers of the World ORT Union. Mrs. Bramson helped establish a women’s ORT organization in France. In New York, she helped establish the Bramson ORT Trade School in memory of her husband.
