Dr. Benno Ostertag, a Jewish lawyer of this city, has been awarded the Order of the Grand German Service Cross on the occasion of his 60th birthday. The award was made by the provincial government of Wuerttemberg-Baden for the risks Dr. Ostertag ran in fighting for the interests of the Jewish citizens of Stuttgart during the Nazi regime.
