More than 15,000 persons yesterday participated in an open air meeting to promote the sale of Israel bonds, at which Abba Eban, Israel Ambassador, was the principal speaker. The meeting was arranged by the New York Jewish daily newspapers The Forward. The Day and The Jewish Morning Journal, and the Israel bond organization.
Ambassador Eban told the audience that confidence was felt in Israel over the outcome of its economic struggle for survival. Traffic was diverted around the area where the rally was held. The crowd was entertained by prominent actors.
