Austrian President Theodor Koerner and Foreign Minister Dr. Karl Gruber today sent condolences to the Israel Government on the death of President Weizmann. A meeting of the Vienna Jewish community to mark the 14th anniversary of the burning of the city’s synagogues by the Nazis was convented into a memorial meeting for Dr. Weizmann. At a religious service here today, representatives of the Allied Occupation authorities, of the Austrian Government and of the Jewish community heard Chief Rabbi L Eisenburg eulogize Dr. Weizmann as the “symbol of the Jewish people.”
