I. Edwin Goldwasser, noted Jewish communal leader and prominent financial authority, left for Israel to study investment possibilities there and to seek opportunities for large-scale private finance operations in the Jewish State.

Invited by the Israel Government, Mr. Goldwasser will meet in Israel with leaders of the government as well as with heads of private enterprises. Mr. Goldwasser, who is treasurer of the United Jewish Appeal and a leading figure in the Joint Distribution Committee and in the Israel bond drive, said prior to his departure that he looks upon this Invitation “not only as a great compliment but as a call to probably the most important duty that can be laid upon any Jew at possibly the most important stage in the economic development of the State of Israel.”
