Plans for world-wide observance of the 750th anniversary of the death of Moses Maimonides–the great Jewish philosopher, Talmudist and physician, who died in 1204 and is buried in Tiberias–were mapped out here today by a committee headed by Dr. S. Kahane, director of the Ministry for Religious Affairs.

The preliminary plans include a mass pilgrimage to the grave, the establishment of a huge library named after the Jewish philosopher, and the collection of rare manuscripts by Jewish scholars to be placed in that library. A call will be issued to Jewish groups throughout the world to participate in the anniversary.
