President Juan Peron was thanked yesterday by Israel charge d’affaires Tuvia Arazi for his statement of last week concerning the Jewish people and Israel, and for condemning the anti-Semitic campaign in certain European lands. Peron’s statement was featured in the entire press.
The Jewish press here, with the exception of the Communist newspaper Tribuna, lauded President Peron for his outspoken statement. La Prenza, leading Argentine newspaper, said in an editorial that “President Peron’s words to the Jewish leaders express the real attitude of our country.”
