Sharett Reports to Israel Cabinet on World Political Situation

The Israel Cabinet last night discussed the world political situation following a report by Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett. The Cabinet decided to extend financial assistance to the city of Jerusalem, which is currently encountering financial difficulties.

The government-Jewish Agency immigration coordination board met yesterday, under the chairmanship of Premier David Ben Gurion, to consider immigration problems. It was decided to encourage the immigration of youth to Israel. Another meeting of the board will be held soon to conclude the discussion started yesterday and to consider ways to encourage immigration from the West.
