Israel G. Jacobson has been appointed director of European Operations for HIAS to succeed the late Lewis Neikrug, who died last month, it was announced today by Ben Touster, president of the organization. Mr. Jacobson served as a Joint Distribution Committee director in Greece, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, and Italy from 1944 to 1950. Since 1950 he has been national field director of the American Technician Society.
