Jacob Blaustein, president of the American Jewish Committee, conferred this weekend with Assistant Secretary of State Henry A. Byroade, in charge of Middle Eastern, South Asian and African Affairs. Mr. Blaustein reviewed with Mr. Byroade the situation in the Middle East, including Israel, from which area Mr. Byroade just returned after accompanying Secretary of State Dallas and Mutual Security Administrator Harold Stassen.
