A plan under which, the Lob Angeles Jewish community organization assumes supervision and control of Kashruth enforcement in this city was adopted here by the board of directors of the Los Angeles Jewish Community Council.
The council will set up a bureau of Kashruth administration which Will be charged with both the administrative and religious supervision of Kashruth, With religious phases to be carried out under supervision of a religious law commission composed of Orthodox rabbis.
Leaders of the council, explaining the new plan publicly, declared that Kashruth, as a community responsibility should be administered without profit to anyone in the community and solely for the benefit of those Jews who desire to observe it. They declared that responsibility for proper administration of Kashruth was the responsibility of all Jews concerned with the integrity of the Jewish community.
