The biennial convention of the Canadian Jewish Congress will be held in Toronto in October, it was announced here today by Samuel Bronfman, national head of the Congress. Some 400 delegates will represent the 200,000 Jews who are scattered from British Columbia to Newfoundland.
Delegates to the convention will be chosen, for the most part, by functioning organizations and institutions. In Winnipeg, however, direct elections are held at which every Jewish resident may help to choose representatives to the sessions.
