The second vessel to bring German reparations goods to Israel arrived at Haifa this morning and was escorted to its berth by three police launches. The unloading of the cargo–chiefly iron and chemicals–began immediately.

Ben Menachem, director-general of the Israeli Post Office, arrived in Germany today to survey the possibilities of obtaining under the terms of the reparations pact equipment needed to expand Israel’s postal services.
