U.N. Dedicates Reading Room in Memory of Abraham Feller

The United Nations today honored the memory of Abraham Feller, high U.N. official who recently committed suicide, by dedicating a reading room in the U.N. library which will carry his name.

Speakers at the dedication ceremony included U.N. Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold, and former Secretary General Trygve Lie. Both emphasized the contributions which Mr. Feller made to the development of the United Nations during his seven years of service. “His contribution to the U.N. is a living thing which continues to facilitate our work and will do so in the future,” Mr. Hammarskjold said Mr. Lie said that “Abraham Feller’s contribution to the U.N. was constructive and of lasting significance.”
