The six Arab states represented at the United Nations last night asked for a new item to be placed on the agenda of the Security Council charging aggression by the armed forces of Israel upon Jordan. Their letter to the president of the Council was released today. It requests that the following item be placed on the agenda:

“Aggression by the armed forces of Israel upon Jordan at Quabaya, Shuqba and Budrus, which led to great destruction of property and to the slaughter of at least 66 innocent people on October 14-15, 1953, in violation of Article III, paragraphs 2 and 3 of the Jordan-Israeli General Armistice Agreement. “

Apparently the Arab delegations were not satisfied with the compromise agenda adopted Tuesday by the Security Council with the consent of Dr. Charles Malik of Lebanon, Arab member of the Council who spoke for the Arab states.
