Jordan’s representative before the United Nations Security Council demanded today the branding of Israel as an aggress or for the Kibya raid, limitation of immigration to Israel and control of Israeli armaments.
The Jordanian avoided direct reply to the Israeli proposal, made last Thursday, that high level Jordanian and Israeli political and military representatives meet without delay at UN headquarters to iron out all armistice and border security problems. He told the Council that his delegation was here “to discuss the views of the Jordan Government on the Kibya massacre and we have no credentials to enter into any other discussions.”
He further told the Council it seemed that “if the Israeli Government has some proposal to submit to the Jordan Government, the proper channel would be through the Chief of Staff of the United Nations truce supervision organization.
