The Hesse Bar Association has re-admitted to legal practice Dr. Friedrich Krebs, Nazi Mayor of Frankfurt during whose administration 35,000 Jews were hounded out of the city. The bar’s decision overruled an earlier action refusing Krebs permission to practice in this city.

Dr. Hans Windgassen, one-time Nazi Mayor of Osnabrueck, is drawing a monthly pension of 1,000marks, about three times the average income in West Germany, it was revealed during the course of a court action brought by Windgassen to force the payment of full salary for the mayor’s post for the years between 1945 and 1950. His suit was turned down, however, by a court which ruled that he was never qualified to serve as Mayor and only received the post as an award for his loyalty to the Nazi regime.
