Prof. Benjamin Mazar, president and rector of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, received an honorary degree of Doctor of Hebrew Letters from the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion at a special convocation here tonight. The degree was conferred by Dr. Nelson Glueck, president of HUC-JIR.
