Author Hermann Graml has for the first time given a documented account of the behind-the-scenes maneuvering in the Nazi leadership that led to the burning of hundreds of synagogues and the wrecking of thousands of stores and apartments.

A memorial for “those who were slain” was dedicated in the city of Kassel “to commemorate the political, racial and religious victims of Nazism as well as the young people who had to give their life during the war.”
