The coffin bearing the remains of U.S. Ambassador Monnet Davis, who died several days ago in Israel, was flown today to the United States following a funeral service held in St. Peter’s Cathedral in Jaffa, attended by Acting Prime Minister Moshe Sharett and the entire diplomatic corps. The coffin was escorted by 48 Israel soldiers to the Lydda airport.
