U.N. Group on Protection of Minorities Starts Four-week Session

The Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities today opened its sixth session here. It is expected to last four weeks.

Max Sorenson of Denmark was elected chairman, Mohammed Awad of Egypt was named vice-chairman and John D. Ingles of the Philippines, rapporteur. Philip Halpern is the representative of the United States on the subcommission.
