A warning that “secular fanaticisms harnessed to menacing power threaten our freedom from abroad, ” was founded by Adlai E. Stevenson today in a message to the 47th annual meeting of the American Jewish Committee, opening here Friday.

“Power-hungry, demagogic forces menace our freedom from within,” Mr. Stevenson further warned. “We ignore these evils at our peril. I am confident that reason will triumph and that man will achieve security and freedom, liberty and order.” Other messages were received by the Committee from Sen. Leverett Saltonstall, Sen. James H. Duff and Secretary of the Army Robert T. Stevens.
