Complaints were voiced in Parliament today that Israel was being “flooded” by American and Russian books and that British books could be obtained there only with the utmost difficulty.
A. D. Dodds-Parker, Foreign Under-Secretary, replied that Britain had eased currency regulations on certain types of books and had under consideration the use of Public funds to facilitate the entry of British books and publications to Israel.
