Abraham Kornitzer, leader of Hungarian Orthodox Jewry, has been cleared by a Hungarian court of charges of having committed crimes against the state in relation to Zionist activity, the World Jewish Congress revealed here last night.
Earlier, it had been reported that Dr. Bela Denes and Henrik Galos, two Hungarian Zionist leaders, had also been acquitted by a Hungarian State Tribunal of the same charges. The WJC announcement yesterday confirmed this report. The trial of the three Jewish leaders was secret.
