The meeting of the International Socialist Party Council closed here last night following the adoption of a resolution calling for “effective direct negotiations between Israel and the Arab states for a peace settlement which would open the way for constructive cooperation among all the peoples of the area.” The resolution was introduced by Reuven Barkatt, member of the Histadrut executive.
