The funeral of Prof. Selig Brodetsky, noted world Zionist statesman and for a decade spokesman for British Jewry, who died here yesterday, will be held tomorrow. The funeral cortege will make a brief stop at the headquarters of the World Zionist Organization here where Prof. Brodetsky worked for many years.
Ambassador Eliahu Elath of Israel today issued a statement expressing deep shock and grief over the death of Prof. Brodetsky who, he said, would be remembered by the people of Israel and Zionists all over the world “as one of the main architects in this country of Jewish independence. ” He will be “sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him, ” Ambassador Elath said.
