The Solel Boneh, the construction cooperative owned by Histadrut, the general federation of labor, has 186 contracting units in operation and employs a total of 53,000 workers, Hillel Dan, Solel Boneh executive, reported today to a meeting of Histadrut organizations.
It was also reported that beside Solel Boneh, the Histadrut has 725 enterprises in operation. A total of 20,000 families depend for their livelihood on these firms, it was revealed.
