The Israel-Syrian Mixed Armistice Commission condemned this week-end the Syrian shelling of an Israeli patrol boat on Lake Tiberias June 30 in which two Israeli policemen’ lost their lives and five others were wounded.

At the same time, the MAC censured Israel for the presence of armed landing craft on the lake and for the fact that the craft fired on the Syrian positions. This firing was in self-defense after the Syrians shelled the vessel.
