Funeral services were held here today for Max Epstein, one of the leading Jewish philanthropists in this city. Mr. Epstein died Sunday at the age of 79. Among his philanthropies were establishment of several clinics, a Fine Arts building to the University of Chicago, costing $1,000,000, and a $50,000 fund to aid needy students at Harvard Law School.
