Israel Day was celebrated at the International Fair at Bari today with formal receptions and the presentation of various products of Israel and displays of the progress of the country’s development. During a reception given by Israel Minister Eliahu Sasson, the Minister expressed satisfaction with the signing of an Israel-Italian trade pact, but expressed the hope that the execution of that agreement–delayed for the past six months–would take place soon.

Israel’s first participation in the Milan Triennial Exhibition of Handicrafts has drawn the official commendation of Vice-Premier Guiseppe Sarragat who attended the opening of the Israeli exhibit. Sr. Sarragat expressed his “admiration” of the Israeli achievements. A special “Israel Day” will be observed at the exhibition on October 28.
