Israel Ambassador Abba Eban will meet with Ambassador Eric Johnston on Friday to discuss the question of regional water development in the Near East.
It is understood that Mr. Johnston has reached the point in his studies where he may be about ready to make definitive proposals to Israel and the Arab states. Israel Government circles hope that his proposals are such that it would be possible for Israel to accept them as consistent with Israel’s national interests.
