A call for the 23rd General Assembly of the Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds was issued here today by Julian Freeman, CJFWF president. The conference will be held in Atlantic City Nov. 18-21.
“This will be a workshop session,” Mr. Freeman declared. “The pressing problems facing communities in meeting their world-wide responsibilities in 1955 demand that Jewish leaders from all over the United States and Canada sit down together to find effective solutions and guideposts for action.” The workshops will consider such problems as fund-raising, multiple appeals, budgeting, planning and leadership.
