The Government of Jordan has appealed to the United States, Britain and France to prevent alleged Israeli diversion of Jordan River waters, it was reported here today from Amman.

Foreign Minister Walid Saleh called the envoys of the three powers to his office yesterday and asked them to intervene under the terms of the Tripartite Declaration of 1950. He reportedly told them that Jordan had discovered three major irrigation projects being worked on by Israelis on the Israel side of the river.
