Col. Chaim Herzog was named military commander of the Jerusalem area today. Col. Herzog’s last assignment was as military attached of the Israel Embassy in Washington.
Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt has accepted an invitation to visit Israel as a guest of the Youth Aliyah movement, it was announced here today. The of Mrs. Roosevelt’s visit has not yet been fixed.
